Views Theophilus Valentine as a big brother
▼Kenny Sibyl has been alone pretty much her entire life. Being from a family of the bat variety of harpies, she was born independent and great things were expected from her.
However, she turned out to be the runt of the liter. Not only was she small, but the poor girl suffered horrible eyesight to the point of being legally blind. She was weak and couldn't preform to the high levels of her many brothers and sisters, so her parents focused on their more successful kin.
Contrary to what you might expect, Sibyl didn't think any less of her parents for this. She blamed herself and ran away at a young age, hoping to start a life in a different way and make her parents proud.
Lo and behold her abilities were hindered everywhere else she tried. Countless jobs were failed and short-lived and she hardly had enough money to keep herself going. With a heavy heart, she knew she had failed her family. She tried hunting bugs and small critters for meals, but it broke her heart to eat the cute, innocent creatures. She then resorted to petty theft and stole food.
Not being able to afford a home for herself, Sibyl flew to an old clock tower on the outskirts of Ververg and settled in its grand structure.
Becoming increasingly lonelier each day, Sibyl relied on her imagination to keep her company. She gathered pieces and parts and built herself a friend. She talked and played games with the friend despite knowing he would never be able to respond...
One cold and lonely night, "Theophilus Valentine" as she called him, gained consciousness. Sibyl thought she had lost her mind completely and the creation seemed just as surprised as she was.
It turns out that a wondering spirit of a recently passed being had been drawn to the vessel and claimed it as it's new body.
And that's where everything started to get better. ▲
