"I like when you smile." Sam and Tan, obviously.
Her ears twitched when she heard his voice, mentioning his affection for her smile and whenever she was in a good mood. This of course made her look up at him curiously, wondering what was happening to make him say that so suddenly. She happened to be working on a dress she had always wanted to make for herself. Being able to work and really want to work must’ve been what made her crack a smile. Her gaze had moved to his, and she saw a smile on his own face, close to hers as he watched her work happily. Of course, all this could really do, was make her smile even wider, even a small bit of color came to her cheeks as she felt herself suddenly shy from the compliment he gave to her. Looking down with some amount of shyness, she leaned into him enough to bump her shoulder against his, continuing to smile even wider. Sometimes that was just enough of a reply for her in moments like these.
"Value Me".
((GET READY FOR THE FLUFF WAVE. maybe. probably.))
It's been a week and a half now.
She stared at her plate, slowly chewing on the dinner she had made for the both of them. It was simply made, knowing he could always add anything to spice it up, but without proper use of her cut hand, she had a hard time making anything special. Her mind was free to wander, but it didn't seem to go very far. She looked up to see Sam to her left at their table, eating quietly and focusing on cutting the piece of meat on his plate. She watched his face until she saw his hand rest against the table, looking instead to that.
She swallowed and thought about the one demand she had made to him when they were finally reunited. "When do you think we'll renew our vows?"
He seemed to be stunned that she spoke up during dinner. She had been quiet most times of the day unless he had spoken to her first. With mouth full of food, it took him a moment until he was finished with his bite, "Whenever you would like, Tanwynn."
"How about this week?" She looked back up at his face, seeming hopeful that he wouldn't say no. And how could he?
"Of course," he smiled a small smile and tilted his head, "and what made you bring that up now?"
"I'll be honest," she said as she reached for his hand, grasping it gently with that bandaged hand of hers, "I love you. But most of the time, I feel like I've let in a stranger into our home when I look at you."
They both seemed a little sad at that comment of hers, but he was being extraordinarily understanding for her, nodding quietly. She inhaled and squeezed that hand of his, "So... I think we should have a few nights out, instead of being here all the time and then when the end of the week comes, we'll renew our vows. And then. Probably work on the house some more, I want it to look totally different."
She had looked around the dining room, thinking of a brighter color in her mind.
He hadn't let go of her hand, watching her the whole time while she kept that tight grip on his hand. "Anything for you, my love. Where do you want to go first?"
She thought about her answer carefully, "Shattrath, I think."
He laughed low, "Quite the trip for just a night out."
She smiled back, "Lucky for you I can get us there in no time."
