So this is the issue with Spectrum. We live in a townhouse in Tully NY. Our neighbors who live right next to had their internet and cable connected. When the tech person came out to connect theirs..they disconnected ours although our bill was current. We have been here for four months without any issues and paying for our service. My bf had his service transferred over to our new place when we moved here without any issues. Last night we found out the previous person who lived here before us is an employee of TWC/Spectrum. He never told Spectrum he moved or had his service from our address disconnected. Today my bf went to Spectrum office to show them proof we live here. We had three papers to show we live here including our lease. They said they cant do anything until they get hold of the former tenant that lived in our townhouse via employee services. They also told my bf that they cant find bf's account..in other words it wasn't in the computer. Although customer service on the phone was able to get it last night. So needless to say we have no internet and don't know if we can get it back at this point via Spectrum until former tenant/spectrum employee is contacted. We run businesses out of home and are losing money because of this. We called today and was told there is a lot of red tape to go through with employee services. We just want our gd internet back. How hard is to give a paying customer their internet service back?
