An idea on Fairies....
A distant human cousin fell down a portal to The Other World way back in the early days of human evolution and ended up staying. Over time they adapted to the chaotic environment and energies of the place and even gained the ability to manipulate it in such a way that could be considered “magic”, eventually becoming The Fair Folk and other similar entities that we know from myth and legend.
