Ya know, after rewatching tangled and the second half of season 1? I'm actually wondering if/why no one from outside corona tried to steal the sundrop flowers after it was used on Arianna. I know they say it was destroyed but as Varian points out? Something that powerful wouldn't be just thrown away. And the stabingtons and gothel mention how valuable it is: "I was going to offer you something worth 1,000 crowns. Would've made you rich beyond your wildest dreams." -> "Fair trade, a crown for the girl with magical hair. how much do you think someone would pay to stay young and healthy forever?"

Even if they realized it wasn't destroyed, breaking into Corona's vault wasn't exactly easy, even for people who had an in.

When the crown was stolen, it wasn't in the vault. It was on display in the main hall, probably for the Lost Princess' birthday. That was a cakewalk, compared to what Rapunzel and Varian went through to get to the flower, including Varian making the truth serum and drugging enough people that someone managed to spill where the flower was being kept.

So there isn't a time jump. But why JR said 2 months and in the show they said 6 (or 5? I don't remember)? Tiffany just saw the first 3 and maybe she was saying just about them and maybe there will be a time jump in another episode. I'm curious.

I really don’t know about the time jump confusion. I don’t know if it was a mistake on their part, if ALIE was wrong, if there’s a time jump AFTER the three episodes, if the delinquents do something to hasten the shorter time period.

There are too many possibilities for this discrepancy, anywhere from a mistake to an integral part of the plot, so I can’t predict or explain it. 

We’re just going to have to wait and see.

First love your blog! Long time lurker! Question, let's say the Rebellion never happened and Rhaegar was able to depose his father of the throne, so Brandon and Lyanna are still alive and Rhaella survived the Birth of Danearys, who would marry who and who would Danearys be married too?

Hmm, interesting. Most speculation of this kind assumes that Rhaegar defeated Robert at the Trident. 

If, let’s say, Rhaegar got most Lords to side with him during the Tourney at Harrenhal and he deposed his father soon after then he would have become king and still be married to Princess, now queen Elia. As for Lyanna, who knows, I’m not sure if he would have began a relationship with her. It’s difficult to say as his reign would have started shakily because even though his father was crazy, he had his supporters. So I’ll assume that Lyanna ended up marrying Robert. 

As for marriages, Dany would have been a good prospect for Aegon VI, but because of what happened with Aerys, alliances might still be strained so a marriage between Aegon VI and a strong house like Tyrell, probably Lannister, maybe Stark would be more useful. So, Dany would probably been married off to a different House because she would be used to strengthen alliances. I would say Rhaegar’s two kids and Viserys and Dany would have all married outside the family. If they had the need to have inter-family marriages they would probably wait until the next generation when things would probably be more stable. 

Sorry, I’m not that great at these types of speculations.

(1/2) I've thought it would be Captain Lance all season. He put himself in danger's way by aligning with dark. His storyline at the police force has run dry, since we've seen him not know who the Arrow is, know and work against him, and know and work alongside him. He's had his redemption arc and he's made amends with Oliver, who despite their ups and downs he's been like family to. He's dating Felicity's mom now which makes her more invested. We've seen Sara die already, so Laurel dying is just

(2/2) repeat storyline for him. On the flip side, if he dies instead, Felicity would be upset by all the hurt it's caused her mother. We'd see Laurel propelled forward by her love for her dad and wanting to avenge him. We'd see a whole wealth of new storylines from Team Arrow having to work around a new police chief. It would impact the whole team enough while also not MAJORLY disrupting the flow of the story, not killing off a major DC character like Black Canary, etc.

A Bit More About “The Three Spindles”

The protagonist in “The Three Spindles” is portrayed as having been kicked out of her parents’ farm, which is what forces her to wander into the woods, eventually meeting the moss people/wood sprites. The text later mentions her giving birth to a son, whom the sprites adopt with her consent. No mention is made of who the father is, and the girl seems fine with him behind.

In my last post about the story, I speculated that the girl’s pregnancy might have been part of the reason for her being ostracized. I did some more thinking after that, this time also taking into consideration what happened to the girl’s son, and who the father might be. So I was thinking, what if the girl was kicked out of her home because her parents found out that she was pregnant?

And as for leaving her son behind with the sprites, maybe the son wasn’t full human; maybe he was a half-human hybrid, and the father was one of the fair folk. And when the girl’s parents began to realize that their daughter had been in a relationship with one of the people in the forest, they disowned her, being afraid of what the villagers would think if their daughter had been with a fairy.

Part of this is inspired by my reading of Arthur Machen’s “The Novel Of The Black Seal,” which had a character who was half-fairy; being Machen, the story portrayed the half-fairy as someone horrifying, the offspring of a human/Christian mother and an infernal father. But I don’t quite see the son of “The Three Spindles” as being horrifying, especially since the fair folk in the story are portrayed as friendly.

As for the father, he could like a male version of the Lady in the Woods, from “The Little Flax Flower.” The girl in that story was accused of witchcraft for being respectful to the Lady; perhaps the same thing happened to the girl of “The Three Spindles.”

Those are my thoughts on the matter so far; anybody else have some thoughts on this interpretation?
