Watching the women’s Speed Climbing qualifications now. I’m not a nerd about this like I am for the other sport climbing events. In fact, I don’t even follow it normally. But it is pretty undeniably impressive and cool. I’m so glad it got separated into its own event, not just because it was silly to make the boulderers and lead climbers train for speed and force the speed climbers to suffer through difficult boulders and routes (at the Tokyo Olympics), but because it’s cool to see the all speed specialists on their own and how much they’re pushing the bar. They are just so fucking fast. Alex Miroslaw just broke the world record in her first go, and then broke that record in her next go. 6.06 seconds! To climb a 15 meter wall at a 5 degree incline. And idk it just feels like a good fit for the olympics as a sport.

Aleksandra Miroslaw did it again. And again.

Climbing is literally the only olympic event I want to see at the Olympics so I paid damn Discovery+ and watch today speed women qualifications.

I think Miroslaw is quite closer to be more a demigod than a human.

In the last 3 years she was literally the only one breaking the women speed climbing record time and today she broke it twice.

I would love for someone to put out a public video of it, but all climbing events are behind a paywall and I doubt it we'll one anytime soon.

Anyone not watching the women’s speed climbing preliminaries is missing out

Cause the Olympic record has been broken at least 4 times?! And the world record has been broken twice!! By the same climber, Aleksandra Miroslaw from Poland!

On her first climb she broke her own record, and on her second she did it again!! I am calling her to win the whole thing
