Sketches of some of the young Hooligan warriors.
Eaglefly
I thought it would be fun to try and draw a dragon species we only know by name and give it traits according to that.
The Eaglefly is Speedifist's hunting dragon.
Gobber: There's seven chairs and ten kids. What do you do?
Fishlegs: Have everyone stand!
Hiccup: Bring three more chairs!
Speedifist: The best seven of the lot can sit down!
Snotlout: Kill three!
Do you think there are people of other ethnic background (asian, african, hispanic) who vist Berk?
Quite! There are both people of different ethnic (a term which incorporates cultural background and identity) and racial (which is more of a physical descriptor) backgrounds who pop into Berk or run into the Hairy Hooligans. And more than just Drago, who’s of ambiguous background, and Eret, who’s Sami.
In the books, we have the Wanderers that interact with the Vikings, including Bearcub, Eggingarde, and their mother, and they’re quite a different group of people with different languages, clothing, customs, and appearances (dark hair and eyes). The Romans - who, while white of skin, are of *quite* a different cultural heritage - pop into Berk more than once.
There are even residents of Berk who are of other racial backgrounds!
Speedifist is one of Hiccup’s classmates in training. The author doesn’t mention a thing about his background, but he’s right there a fully accepted resident of Berk. This clearly indicates Berk’s got a bit of contact with people from other regions, for all their primary concerns are their island and the Viking Archipelago.
It might be a place that is “the best kept secret of… anywhere,” but it’s a Viking island. The Vikings have boats. They have dragons. They interact with other people. It might not be as widespread and common as it is in our global culture, but there is evidence in the books and movies that there are interactions of a uniquely broader scope.
