It comes out of nowhere, Oliver’s confession. SLIPS as he marvels at his best friend. His partner. There’s no getting around the fact that right from the start Barry SAVED Oliver’s life and that action added with EVERYTHING else Barry is && does culminate to this moment. His words are spoken softly and he watches, paralyzed by his own openness, and Barry is just as confused as he’s been trying to SORT OUT what it is he feels because this is new and different and nothing he was ever prepared for.
“It’s... been a while,” he finally answers. The smallest hint of a shrug only further points to how LITTLE he’s thought this conversation through. “Since our first TEAM UP, at least. I felt it then and I... I feel it now. And I don’t... I don’t know what to DO with it, these — feelings.”
