“Oh-oh! Shooting star! Quickly, make a wish!”
“That’s not a... y’know what, nevermind. Might as well.”

“Woah, you look straight from outer space!” He gawked, fixated on her bright colours and voluminous hair. “Um, in a good way, I mean.” He added upon realizing what he’d said could be construed as an insult.
He was so distracted by all this that he didn’t notice the many W’s on her suit, at least not at first.

Frigid temperatures had been sorely missed for the ice bound Robot Master. He had been down and out for some time under going repairs, so much that he’d almost forgotten what being this far north felt like. But now that he was here, at night, it as like coming back home! In some way, at least. Ice Man took a moment to appreciate the snow and ice around him, while the Northern Lights shined bright high above. For anyone else, this could be described as a fairy tale moment. But for the freshly repaired robot? It was a frozen hearth.
“It’s been too long.” He groaned too himself, stretching both short arms. Starting once more in his movements. He had a job to do after all! He didn’t at all mind being this far out in the open, his blue coloring standing out against stark white.
“…Well, she’s certainly among the flashier Robot Mistresses I’ve seen.” Crystal’s tone has an air of being… almost impressed.

Quick, upon seeing the woman, did a double-take. She was very striking, the kind of person that was just begging to be talked to. At least, in his mind.
“So like... who are you, what are you supposed to be?” He asked.

"Careful, I just swapped out my uranium-235. The initial sequencing is a bit potent until my systems can catch up with the level of radiation being fissured."
"In short. There may be leaks."
🌧️ Medly!

🌧️ — A lonely walk in the rain. Who haunts their thoughts?
Medley landed roughly on the sidewalk, the cement causing her feet to clang and clatter loudly as she stumbled, but didn't fall. She knew it was supposed to rain today, but she figured she'd have a few more hours before the downpour. She figured wrong. She also hadn't expected the rain to be this heavy, so her jets were flooded almost immediately after it started, forcing her to descend faster than she would have liked, hence the near-crash landing. Whatever. This whole this was stupid she could just teleport back.... Or at least she would, but the clouds were just so thick she couldn't... Get a clear signal. Great.
Medley sighed, thoroughly soaked and waterlogged by this point, her ordinarily blonde locks dampened brown. She wasn't making any progress lamenting her bad luck, so she started her long walk to Light Labs, so she could get the excess water drained from her systems before they caused any other issues. Of course, her first step resulted in a shudder, feeling that initial slosh of water in her feet always made her shiver— the feeling was disgusting and vile to her. Her hand clasped gently around the metal acoustic guitar chained to her neck. It was little more than a charm, some may even say it was just decoration, but not Medley. It was the first time anyone had cared about her enough to see someone she might like and get it for her. She may have been a fool for it, but it was sentimental to her for that reason.
Naturally, her mind turned to the person who gifted it to her. Proto Man. Back then, of course, he went as Break Man, but now it was Proto Man. Did she understand it? Not really, but she also changed her name, so she couldn't judge or question it. She wondered if he was getting this heavy rain, wherever he was. It'd been so long since she talked to him. Medley hoped he was okay. Hoped that he was safe.
Proto Man was her oldest friend, her first friend, and her best friend. Even if he and Rock had a... Complicated relationship, she trusted him. Trusted him a lot more than Rock did. She wanted him to be safe. A part of her had to wonder if he was still in Russia. Was he warm? Lord, listen to her! Maybe that kid was rubbing off on her more than she realized.
...but that scarf of his was silk, it wasn't the best for keeping warm....
... Medley. Stop it. It's Proto Man. Wherever he is, he's fine! He... Always is.... Then again, if he ever wasn't, she would never know.
Thunder rumbled in the distance. Medley brought her own head up in response, watching as the people rushed past her for cover. Humans are weird, she thought. They weren't like her, and ran the risk of causing internal issues and damaging components due to internal flooding for too long, why did it matter if they got wet? And what difference did it make when they already were. She continued her trudge back to Light Labs, from the heart of the city. Her now brunette hair clung to her face as her stolen denim shorts dripped down her black armored legs. She kicked a rock, mostly out of boredom before she realized how pathetic she must look. She kept her head low after that, stuffing both hands into her wet pocket.
At least for a few more steps. Then she wrapped her fingers around the necklace once more. Was he okay though? There was a difference between a lack of trust and an overabundance of worry. She'd lost him once... And even then, things hadn't ever been the same. Getting in contact with him was difficult, getting a moment without others even moreso, and Medley just had... No idea what was going on with him. She couldn't help but wonder if the others thought about him as much as she did. Aside from Spark Man, probably not.
She waited at the cross walk, just out of the city now. She could have been there and back twelve times by now if she were flying, but she couldn't. She sighed, annoyed, waiting for her light. Again, she could have made it over no problem by sky, but that simply wasn't a choice for her. She felt her eyebrow twitch once in annoyance, and briefly waited for someone to poke fun at her, but nothing came of it. Finally she was given the signal to cross, but as Medley stepped closer to do so, she stopped suddenly, hearing a motor quickly approaching.
SPLOOSH!
A speeding car ran the red light and splashed her entire form in dirty street water.
"Are you kidding me?! That was just rude!!" She snarled out, but didn't make any effort to pursue the driver. She groaned and grimaced as she flicked the drops of water off her form, admittedly quite pointlessly as she felt the nasty water roll down the back of her neck.
As she crossed the road, she'd begun to smirk, then chuckle, then snort into a soft laugh. That was actually kind of funny. She turned to greet Break Man with a smile, only to come back to the reality that he... Wasn't around. Her face immediately dropped. After their last conversation, yeah, they were still friends, but he just felt so distant and... When she'd spent every day next to him, it was so weird to think about. She felt as lonely as she did on the sub— completely disconnected from her best friend. His song, the one he wrote, the one he always whistled, it played in her head, not quite a haunting melody, but something adjacent to it. Something she didn't quite know how to identify. She really missed him. She missed his friendship.
She missed stargazing with him, she missed making up stories and constellations with him, the way he'd always poke fun at her for her lack of hobbies and lack of social interactions. She certainly had more... 'friends' now than she did then, but she wasn't sure how strong those bonds were, aside from maybe the one she was starting to share with Rock. Ironically. To be fair though, the blue bomber saved her, technically twice, and he did it without question or hesitation, despite how she treated him. Medley, at the very least, owed him! She just hoped that, whatever he and Proto Man had going on, it was something she could stay out of on a personal level. She hoped that it wouldn't affect either of her friendships with them.
Because at the end of the day, Medley would trust them both with her life. Yet, at the end of the night, Medley would rush to take Proto Man's side every time. He was the best person she knew. The strongest, the smartest, the kindest, really he was cut from the same cloth that Rock was weaved from, but he was far more jaded, and less trusting.
Lightning flashed and thunder crackled above, followed by much heavier, harsher rain. Now Medley actually had to worry. A sopping wet metal object in the middle of nowhere? Yeah. Prime target for electricity. Did she run? No. She should have been worried, but she wasn't. She only had her 'life' to lose, and she got that for free!
Medley sighed, finally having made it to Light Labs. She paused for a moment to reorient herself. She was still in a weird mood and didn't want Dr. Light or Rock to pick up on it. Sure, she trusted Rock with her life, but she'd trust Proto Man with her emotions first, and every time. Finally, she let herself in, trying not to drip on everything, but also not being able to help it. She slammed the door closed with her butt, and shook out her head like a dog.
"It rainin'." She pointed out in a goofy voice.
"You don't say?" Roll said, rolling her eyes knowing she was going to have to clean up after her.
"Did you get caught out in the storm?! Are you okay?!" Rock worried immediately, already searching for a towel for her.
"Just wet. Why do you think I came here instead of the mansion? Oh, also, did you know that if clouds are thick enough, teleportation goes down? Because I didn't." Dr. Light quickly approached her with a warm towel to dry herself off with and gently grabbed her shoulder.
"Let's get you cleaned out immediately, Medley." Medley couldn't look him in the eyes. His constant kindness would always confuse her, she felt like she didn't deserve it, yet he always gave it to her.
"Yeah. Sure. Kinda hafta, right?"
