"Do it yourself, I don't have any anymore." She huffed, but already brought up the program to run it for him. Back when she was on the Skull Sub, most of her little 'minons,' as Flash Man put it, were animals. Battontons, and the like. Even as 'Aviation Woman' she adored them. But Medley didn't really care too much about the Shotmans or the Scworms Flash Man housed. "I'm surprised you guys even utilize anything like that. What the heck are they for?"
Stating the obvious — and being a raging asshole about it — would’ve made for perfect retaliation for the brat's ongoing sass, but Flash Man couldn't just summon a shotman and project a huge, flickering arrow to point at its cannon, so he let the impulse pass.
"Surveilance, maintenance, survey data -- n' defense, obviously." Flash sat tight where he was, craning his neck to get a look at the diagnoistic window. Just in case Medley screwed it up, somehow. "They run their CPUs hot doin' their jobs to the best of their ability, but some of 'em haven't been hittin' their targets lately. Some of 'em might need a couple replacements."
Truth be told, the idea of utilizing their old subordinates as a means of defense never actually crossed her mind. She supposed it made sense, after all, she'd watched enough British Sci-fi TV shows to understand that the work Flash Man does at the Chronos Institute is important and probably dangerous enough to warrant the high-power defense systems.
"Oh, you mean to tell me you do more than a bunch of nerd stuff?" She teased instead, "honestly though, that ain't a terrible idea." It's a shame she had none of her own left from the submarine, but anyone and anything that was left inside had surely flooded from the prolonged exposure to water, and was more than likely rusting away on the bottom of the ocean floor with the submarine. She could make some tweaks to what she did have at her disposal at the mansion though. Like the excess of roombas Mr. Cortéz had. She couldn't figure something out later.
...when she wasn't trying to do this. Reading wasn't her strong suit, and it was something many people knew.

Oh, good! It seemed like Ice Man hadn't heard his word blunder. Maybe he could play it off then?
"I'm sorry, I meant to ask if you were hurt!" Unless he's stupid and says that!! "I— here! Sorry!" He couldn't help the nervous chuckle, he was a little embarrassed, but he still offered the other his elbow to help him up. "I didn't mean to knock you over, I promise!" He half-joked.
🧊 Ice Man giggled softly "No I'm okay really, I'm thankful that I'm not made out of flesh" he stood up "I was coming to see you. I got the okay from Dr. Light that I can show you around, outside of the lab" Ice Man was happy about that.
Spark Man made a slight face at the mention of flesh — if he had a nose, it would have been crinkled.
"I...is that the best way to word that?" He half-joked... He was not sure he liked that word. "Anyway—! Uh, that's great! Uh, I think I get off in about 15 minutes? Or... Was it five?" Oh great, now he couldn't remember. "Sorry, it's been a teeny bit... Hectic today."
I still get nightmares. In fact I get them so often I should be used to them by now.
I'm not. No one ever really gets used to nightmares.
