A Chance to Change the World.
Hello Tumblr friends!
In December, I received news that I had been admitted into my dream school, Spelman College. I've wanted to go to Spelman for years now, and I'm proud to say that it will soon be a reality. My only dilemma with the illustrious Spelman is it's price tag. To my dismay, I didn't receive any aid/scholarship at all except for loans.
As the oldest of my parents' children, I simply cannot afford to even ask my parents to take a loan out for me. I'd never do that. That is why I've decided to start a GoFundMe campaign. I've worked extremely hard in high school and I always strive to succeed. I refuse to let this chance of a lifetime slip through my fingers because of finances. I'm asking for people to share this with anyone they think that can help. Donations would be greatly appreciated. Any amount is welcome. I believe that if I can get my first year at Spelman paid for, then that I can handle the rest.
A favorite scripture of mine is Ephesians 4:13 which I interpret as "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." I know that with help, I can achieve my goal of getting to Spelman. I can show others that it can be done. I can show my siblings that God will always make a way.

Spelbound!
Beginning to think that the best thing that's ever happened in my life is being accepted to Spelman. I dreamed of this school for so long. If you followed my old Tumblr, I would literally obsess over Spelman. Now three years later, I'm proud to say that I can actually say that I've been accepted there! I'm honestly so excited. Words can't even begin to describe how I feel. I've met so many wonderful people. We've all connected through being newly accepted to such a prestigious institute. I'm counting down the days until we're on campus, for real. P.S. I've already made up it up in my mind that I will let nothing deter me from my destiny at Spelman. Even if that means taking out a billion loans. I. Will. Be. There. 💙
