Turns out it's hard to cast spells when your goblin gf fills your mind with need after spilling a potion on you, or after your dullahan seals your soul with a cute paper tag~

Pokemon Card of the Day #3093: Spell Tag (Lost Thunder)

Spell Tag was a Pokemon Tool that only worked when attached to a Psychic-type. When the Pokemon it was attached to was Knocked Out by damage from an opponent's attack, you put 4 damage counters on your opponent's Pokemon however you wanted. This was not a lot of damage, and most decks of the type went with other cards. There were, however, two notable exceptions.

Giratina was the big one. Not only was it a Psychic-type that could work with Malamar, but it could recover itself from the discard pile to go onto the Bench while placing a couple of damage counters in the process. The other one was less popular. Weezing was all about spreading damage counters, and had some surprisingly good tournament showings despite spread damage being really hard to use in an era with huge HP numbers. Those two decks were where Spell Tag really shined, as the damage did add up, and that was enough to make this a useful card.
