Harry Potter Spells Tag!

1. Expecto Patronum: A childhood book connected to good memories Matilda by Roald Dahl. I really connected to Matilda's character and just adore the book to pieces. The movie is a classic favorite of mine and I could be found trying to move things with my mine and humming Little Bitty Pretty One often. 2. Expelliarmus: A book that took you by surprise We Were Liars by E. Lockheart! Oh my Rowling what a book! 3. Prior Incantato: The last book you read. Unravel Me by Tahereh Mafi - loved it, love Warner, love <3 4. Alohamora: A book that introduced you to a genre you had not considered before. The Dear America and Royal Diaries books were the books that got me into historical fiction when I was really young. Historical fiction was honestly my main genre for many years because I practically read all of these books. 5. Riddikulus: A funny book you've read. I've never read a book that had me laugh out loud so much to label it as a funny book. I found the Percy Jackson books had a good amount of humor to them and all of John Green's books have their moments that made me laugh but I could never label these books as funny books.
6. Sonorus: A book you think everybody should know about. Past me would have signal boosted How I Live Now by Meg Rosoff but with the recent movie it has really catapulted into mainstream books. Current me decided to signal boost The Last of the Really Great Whangdoodles by Julie Andrews Edwards (Yes, Julie Andrews of Sound of Music and Princess Diaries fame) it is such a cute book. 7. Obliviate: A book or spoiler you would like to forget having read. I read Divergent because of the movie and the hype and I knew the spoiler for that book because the fandom was freaking out when they finished Allegiant. I am a teensy bit spoiled on the Infernal Devices trilogy but not enough where I know what happens exactly.
8. Imperio: A book you had to read for school. I had to read a lot of books for school but here are a few that I finished and that I like - Othello by Shakespeare, Night by Elie Wisel, Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury (favorite classic of all time), The Death of a Salesman, The Glass Menagerie, and Maus 1. 9. Crucio: A book that was painful to read. I have never really read a book that was super painful to read or even one that was difficult to finish. One that I did find difficult to finish was Boy, Snow, Bird by Helen Oyeyemi because it didn't answer the plot points I thought it was going to cover. I went into the book expecting one kind of book and I got another. I also could not connect with the characters.
10. Avada Kedavra: A book that could kill (interpret as you will). Honestly Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows belongs here as well as HP and the Half Blood Prince; they both kill you with feels. City of Heavenly Fire and We Were Liars were also feels death inducing.
