A Reindeer’s Check-In || Berdly & Noelle
*This can’t be right! The muscles can’t be dead!
*There must be a glitch in the system!
*My wing is just broken! This can’t be permanent!
Though Berdly’s words rang out in the empty hospital room, he was running short of breath. With each complaint, he took a quick inhale. His feathers glistened with sweat and were disheveled from the persistent agitation. He shivered with every panicked step as he paced around the room, nearly slipping on the smooth floor a couple of times.
The doctor had found something very peculiar with his right wing, and they needed the day to examine what they found. As far as the bluebird was concerned, his arm shut down without any explanation, and it was that uncertainty coupled with his inability to do much else that left him in such a state. Berdly halted and let out a frustrated cry as he frantically ran his fingers through his crest, his talons tapping on the floor to compensate. *The project, the homework, my job, I-I have a schedule to maintain!
