These are both of Hella’s EPS from 2003–Hella holds a special place in my heart, because back in high school they were my second concert ever AND my second date with my now-husband. I bought the CD of the Bitches Ain’t Shit But Good People EP at the show; didn’t find this gorgeous vinyl copy until many years later. They’re a bizarre math rock band, lovers of complex polyrhythms and (on these records) trippy synths.
