summary; spectre met the love of his life on a cold night, underneath the roof of the mysterious building that dripped with echoes of the Lost Incident.
note; two days ago i found a huuuge post on tumblr with ship questions and attempted to answer them all for speryo. the first question was literally just “how did they first meet” and i accidentally turned the answer into this.
as always, i struggled to write a proper ending (・・;

how did they meet?
on a stormy night beneath hundreds of trees that offered safe shelter from the rain...(shamelessly linking my own take)...
who flirted with who first?
spectre flirted with ryoken first ! and quite frequently, too, but ryoken was awfully oblivious to it, the little idiot (affectionate).
was it love at first sight or a slowburn romance?
to spectre, it was love at first sight. despite being just a young child with no proper concept of love, spectre knew ryoken was the one and the only one he needs in his life. ryoken needed longer to come to terms with his feelings and even then, he struggled to embrace them due to his position and responsibility as the leader of the knights of hanoi.
so. years and years of yearning for each other.
did they start dating right away or were they friends before things became romantic?
friends for the longest time ! Hanoi's mission kept them from dating :>
what was their first date?
a simple picknick at the beach, on a large blanket in the middle of the night. they enjoyed the humming of waves and the gorgeous view of the stardust road while leaning against each other, fingers intertwined.
what are their favourite things to do on date nights?
walks along the beach or in the forest, stargazing or spending time in spectre's garden... they also rather enjoy to just put on a movie and cuddle, it doesn't need to be overly fancy. (but, sometimes, ryoken has an urge to drag spectre to the most expensive restaurant of den city)
do they still go on dates after being together for a while?
they certainly do! they like doing something special every once in a while, with just the two of them.
what is their love language?

spectre kissed ryoken first :>
who started the relationship?
spectre started it with their first kiss !
monogamy or polyamory?
monogamy all the way. both of them are possessive (especially spectre) and prone to jealousy. they want each other all to themselves, without having to share.
are they / do they plan on getting married?
in my head, they are married *bricked* they plan on getting married!
who proposed? was it a yes or no?
spectre would most likely propose! and it would be an immediate yes, no hesitation.
do they want kids? who brought it up first?
they do not want kids. especially ryoken struggles to see himself raising a child. they never talk about it, either - it's an unspoken agreement.
do they have any routines / rituals in their relationship?
they have a morning and evening routine. spectre is always the first to wake up and make a healthy breakfast for them to start the day with. ryoken often struggles to leave the bed, even more so after a good cuddling session. so, breakfast in bed is rather common for the two of them.
their evening routine is rather similar. spectre is the first one to stop working and has to drag ryoken away from the laptop. dinner always consists of a light and quickly prepared dish - and once they are in bed, they talk about whatever comes to mind while basking in each other's presence. spectre likes to massage ryoken, too, and ryoken likes to shower spectre with kisses, all until they either fall asleep or it leads to more. . . *wink*
how do they take care of each other when they are sick / hurt?
they are at their partner’s side 24/7. spectre prepares dishes that ryoken can surely stomach and makes sure he doesn't leave the bed and rests properly ("the other knights can handle this task, it's fine, you don't need to worry about it.")
spectre is a bit easier to take care of. he knows the importance of resting during such trying times and really does want to get better as quickly as humanly possible (mostly for ryoken tbh *cries*). ryoken works at spectre’s bedside so he can keep an eye on him and lets kyoko teach him how to make a soup (“yes, spectre, i won’t burn myself, don’t worry.”)
how do they like to spend time together?
they like doing daily tasks together; LV missions, obligatory meetings and so on. to them, it doesn’t matter all too much what they are doing as long as they can do it together. bonus points if they can be a little touchy-feely every now and again huhu
what are their favourite non-sexual acts of intimacy?
holding hands or playing with each others hands is a big favourite of theirs. it is the simplest way to feel the other is there with them and offers great comfort in stressful situations. other than that, forehead kisses and cuddling or hugging in general are also their favourites!
what are some of their favourite things about their partner?
ryoken is enamoured by spectre's undying loyalty. he can trust spectre blindly, without having to think twice, and that offers a great sense of security as well as comfort, both of which he desperately needs.
ryoken is also very much in love with spectre's voice. he notices how spectre speaks differently to him, with the softest tone. if we're talking about physical appearance, ryoken is a little obsessed with spectre's lips huhu
spectre has. a lot of favourite things about ryoken. but what he most appreciates is the fact that ryoken just. accepts him the way he is and doesn't try to change him — and that ryoken so deeply and undoubtedly loves him for who he is.
regarding physical appearance, spectre loves ryoken's eyes. he tends to get lost in them quite often. spectre is also quite fond of ryoken's waist :>
how do they comfort each other when they are upset?
more often than not, cuddles work wonderfully. but they both have the tendency to distance and isolate themselves when they’re struggling. in such moments, they usually require a quite few comforting words to come out of their shell, first.
who buys the other spontaneous gifts?
ryoken! but it doesn't happen often. spectre appreciates gifts, but he values other things more, as does ryoken.
what position do they sleep in?
most of the time, they sleep in a lateral position with one of them clinging to the others back. ryoken also loves to sleep halfway on top of spectre whilst he’s laying on his back (it enables him to listen to spectre's heartbeat, which always lulls him to sleep rather quickly).
do they bathe / shower together?
ryoken's rich ass has the fanciest bathroom, so they indulge in both options. generally speaking, they prefer to bathe, and when they do they only do it together. taking a shower is a bit of a different case. that happens the most, since it takes up less time, but they don't share one quite as often.
do they do anything else in the bath / shower other than wash?
ryoken always dozes off in the bathtub at some point. the warm water just has that effect on him. spectre stays awake so he can watch over ryoken and hold him properly while he sleeps.
when they shower, they get lost in each other and do anything but washing - which is also why they sometimes (playfully) deny the offer to take a shower together.
how often do they fight? what about?
not too often - and i wouldn't call it fighting, either. it's always more of an argument to get through each other's thick heads, since both of them are rather stubborn (especially ryoken). 90% of the time it's either about ryoken's father (because boi, spectre does not like it when ryoken attempts to sugarcoat / deny his father emotionally abusing / manipulating him) or spectre's all but non-existent perception of self-worth.
have they ever broken up?
never have and have never considered it.

that entirely depends on their mood, really. they can have the most sickeningly sweet vanilla sex one day and try the kinkiest stuff the next. so, it's a mix of all three.

i will die on this hill !! spectre tops, ryoken bottoms !!
who is more dominant / submissive?
ryoken is more submissive. his willingness to easily submit ties in with him being able to blindly trust spectre. ryoken doesn't need to wear his infamous mask around spectre and doesn't need to be in control. he can just let himself go and boi does he love that.
what is their favourite sex position?
it's a tie between lotus and missionary. the lack of space between their bodies and the resulting stimulation is what they most enjoy. lotus also offers spectre the perfect opportunity to hold onto ryoken's behind and control the pace a bit, which both of them take great pleasure in.
do either of them enjoy bringing sex toys into the bedroom?
spectre rather enjoys using sex toys, because they are wonderful tools to tease ryoken with. ryoken just rolls with it most of the time, since he trusts that spectre knows what he is doing and knows what ryoken enjoys / would enjoy.
favourite place to have sex?
their bedroom. they prefer taking their time and properly enjoying sex, without having to worry about anyone or anything disturbing them.
most adventurous place they've had sex?
the beach. they agreed to never do that again.
