TBH I'm not fully convinced we'll see a change until noms are in place just bc I don't think sanders has enough support to make a difference in the Democratic Party. I think that the gop is more unified than in a long time bc trump is a common enemy...I know who trump supporters are tho, and I know who sanders supporters are. Trump supporters will vote no matter what. I'm scared most sanders supporters won't vote for Hillary when he definitely doesn't get the nom. Sorry 2 ramble
But yeah ur like the only person on this god awful website who I like to talk about politics withbc u actually research and understand the political climate
THANK YOU I will take that as a compliment. Tumblr really isn’t a good place to get information because liberal media is actually worse imo at skewing the facts. They might fit better with liberal opinions but it doesn’t change the fact that they’re making shit up and twisting people’s words. I get a lot of my info from third party podcasts and watching the debates for myself.
It also helps a lot honestly to have really good historical knowledge to compare today’s politics to, because a lot of it is reflecting things that happened already in the last century. IT’S JUST, very important I can’t even begin to state how important it is to evaluate these things from every angle you possibly can. You can’t look at politics through one lens, because the United States is so big and so diverse that your next door neighbor could have a completely different opinion from you.
And you NEED to hear that out. It doesn’t matter if it offends you. Like, I’m gay as fuck so sometimes yeah, it stings to hear people like Rubio and Carson speak, but they’re not wrong about everything and actually have some very insightful things to say about American politics. Sanders isn’t the only one who’s spoken up against corruption in higher office.
But yeah, you’re right I think. Clinton doesn’t stand a chance if Democrats don’t vote. Though I think she’s only marginally better than Trump anyways. Still though, better. AND NOW I RAMBLED SO WE’RE EVEN
