A tasty and crispy tofu dish that's ideal for a quick supper is Tofu Shake n' Bake. After being marinated in a tasty concoction of nutritional yeast, soy sauce, and spices, the tofu cubes are covered in bread crumbs and baked until crispy and golden brown.
Ingredients: 1 block tofu, pressed and cubed. 2 tablespoons soy sauce. 2 tablespoons nutritional yeast. 1 tablespoon olive oil. 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder. 1/2 teaspoon paprika. 1/4 teaspoon black pepper. 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper optional. 1 cup breadcrumbs.
Instructions: Set oven temperature to 400F 200C. Combine the soy sauce, nutritional yeast, olive oil, paprika, black pepper, and cayenne if using in a bowl. Toss the tofu cubes in the bowl to ensure that they are evenly covered in marinade. Transfer breadcrumbs to an other bowl. Remove the tofu cubes from the marinade and lightly press the breadcrumbs onto each cube to ensure they stick. Arrange the coated tofu cubes on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet. Bake, flipping halfway through, until the tofu is crispy and golden brown, 25 to 30 minutes in a preheated oven. Enjoy while hot!
