Stalin's Boot (stream-of-consciousness solo piano)
Stalin's Boot is a track from The Taunting World. The title is in reference to the Orwell quote, "If you want a vision of the future, imagine a boot stamping on a human face - forever."
Composed in 2002, the images are in remembrance of the 1940 Katyn Forest Massacre of over 20,000 Polish prisoners of war on Joseph Stalin's direct order. Shown are scenes of discovery in 1943, exhumation of mass graves, some of those murdered, and various Katyn memorials worldwide.
