you guys, I almost got scammed. someone randomly reached out to me through messages that they accidentally flagged my acc for fraud/phishing activity and obvs, I got panic bcs WHY?!?! But then they said that it was because another acc has similar pfp and handle with me (I checked tumbrl myself and there was no one else having same pfp as me so that's the first 🚩) and then they even sent me a screenshot of the email of the report saying tumblr processing the report on my tumblr, but I noticed that the email was a bit sus (🚩🚩) and so I asked what do I need to do and then this person said to reach to this tumblr support on discord (🚩🚩🚩)

I might be stupid but there's no such thing as tumblr contact support on discord?!?!!! I even googled if there was such a thing so I reached out to tumblr myself (funny that they replied to my message with their concern about my mature content instead 🤔)

When I checked the account, it looked legit like any other fic writer blog with navigation, theme was quite aesthetic and a lot of reblogs (but I noticed this account only been active these past few days 🚩🚩🚩🚩)

I didn't follow up and instead, I said to this scammer that I reached out to tumblr myself and there was no such thing as tumblr support on discord and they yeeted almost immediately. the account was gone in a second. (🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩)

what I'm saying is if you encounter something like this pls don't panic, stay calm, look for the "signs" and you see, there's nothing wrong with being cautious, if you sense something suspicious, just stop and look at things yourself, ask someone if you have to.
