So a couple of days ago I was walking in the park with my son near sunset. I was looking at my phone, because Pokémon Go, but staying aware of where I put my feet and any nearby people/animals (there were none). However... I was NOT expecting spider traps.

We were cutting across the grass, and suddenly I realized there was a rather large brown spider body in the vicinity of my waist/near my phone. I dropped my phone and made frantic motions to make sure whatever I’d seen was no longer in physical contact with me. Looking down, I saw nothing aside from my dropped phone. Then I turned around....

Please realize it was at least 15ft in the air by the time I took these pictures. 😒Spider trap!

Spider Trap

Location: established. Camera: set. Hostage: secured.

Yagumo checks off the mental list whilst eyeing one unconscious Hiragi Yuzu. It had been fairly easy to track down the girl seen with the Phantom on surveillance feed from Sora’s duel. He had only picked her up that morning seemingly on her way back from grocery shopping he suspects. He left the bags where she dropped them so he wasn’t entirely sure. But with everything set, he’s ready to broadcast. Which he then does; directly connected to the monitors in the Phantom’s base.

“Good evening, Sakaki Yuya.” He begins, making sure to face the floating surveillance device; one of their group’s many. “As you’ve most likely noticed... You are missing one overly enthusiastic sidekick of yours. And as you may have already guessed, they are with me. Otherwise, I really wouldn’t have a reason to contact you, would I?” He motions the camera to Yuzu, confirming his words. “For her sake, if you have any heart at all, I do hope you’ll come and retrieve her. After all... it is your fault she’s been targeted.”

“We both hope to see you soon, Phantom.” Kyoji ends the feed with a snap. It was live footage without an additional self-destruct, so he’s confident that Sakaki would be able to trace his location; an all but abandoned construction site whose original project seemed to have fallen flat.
