Ah a good question, y'see music 'as been m' passion since I were your age. Pokemon battles n' bein a gym leader was never my lifestyle goal it was a means to an end and after a rather... unpleasant disagreement with mum I took off on m' own

But when it all came down to it, music didnt put money in my pocket so I ad to be practical

I battled enough to make a home for myself in Wyndon... tried to put out my music there but it didnt catch on until I started to mix battling with it

It was then I was approached by Chairman Rose he said he liked my style so he made me gym leader and I chose our home for the gym

Now Rose never like that but I told him where he could shove his dynamax den

As a history nerd, why is the entirety of Spikemuth covered with a roof? Not only the houses, but roofs between the houses which cover the streets from above. Defensive purposes?

spikemuth wasnt always located right of 'ammerlock and through a long tunnel:

ol' spikemuth was a stone fortress built outside of motostoke. tha' was long before there were so many dens poppin out of nowhere ... motostoke became too dangerous so the descendants of the mason guild moved past 'ammerlock and built a more modern shelter. Th' bunker was built ta withstand whatever is trown at it, an' its far enough away from any dynamaxing dens

they also built our homes, most of our interiours are old...but they are far sturdier than any thing built by todays "standards" ( we do need an electrical upgrade though)
