Spike the Cat – The OG Queen of Lonsdale

Back in the day at 11 Lonsdale, Spike the Cat didn’t just live at CalStreets—she ran the block. This fearless feline patrolled Lonsdale Avenue, made regular stops at the Seabus (probably plotting a takeover), and had a VIP seat at the Greek restaurant next door—adorable enough to score free salmon on demand.

She wasn’t just a shop cat; she was the first kitty of CalStreets, a true legend of North Van. RIP to the queen—Lonsdale was hers, we were just renting space.
