okay!! some s2 yap!!

tldr, loved it!

I really enjoyed the change of pace this episode brought! I thought I’d be more down it wasn’t a direct continuation of the previous episode, but non-linear story telling is great, and I should have been more open to what could happen!

MIO!!! I love him I love him I love him. His fixer-upper outfit, his hair, the gloves, the attitude (very sho, I agree with other peoples opinions on him). This introduction is so important, but I’ll get more into that later.

I did a quick google search on these fellas. They’re a good ‘ol brother’s Grimm fairytale! Singing in German cuz… it’s a German fairytale of course! You may notice they’re standing on eachothers backs, just as they do when they protect Yuri

Very kind of them! In the original tale, they did this to scare some robbers they came across. I like the call back! I’m not gonna go in depth about the tale because I feel I should read it first haha.

Moving on, LOVE the boy band stuff. Switching the vocalist and drummer was so fun. I was wondering how the would convince Yuri to get to drums instead of singing. I feel a little bad for him, but I think he had fun in the end! You can’t be amazing at everything you do when you start, it’s okay to suffer through the learning curve. Glad to see Yuri’s learning that lesson!

Are you kidding me… I’m… I’m gonna die. I already adore Dionysia. Why are they all so beautiful. Need to see Haru interact with them!! Shion is so interesting off the bat grghhh. And I guess the blond must be Jo? He’s not giving the vibe I thought he would, but I LIKE IT!! But yeah sorry I’m a Shion girlie, it’s the hat. The hat enraptured me.

Now for some thoughts about the whole time loop stuff! I’m gonna say pretty surface level stuff I think haha.

Mo and I noticed people talking about how this chapter didn’t give us any new info besides the appearance of dionysia ghouls, but I think we got quite a lot!

This is an episode 23 screenshot! Dionysia never made an appearance by the end of season one! Well Mio did technically show up, and Elias was there all along, but Dionysia didn’t. And they were never formally reinstated! However…

Now they’re officially back!

So things changed!

I also think that had Lucas and Ren worked together in the S1 storyline, it would have been mentioned back when the Chaos Combo + MC met Ren at the diner while investigating the demon hand. That’s not any hard evidence like the Dionysia thing though!

Not sure if this is time loopy, but it’s definitely different to the S1 events! There’s some other interesting comments about the time during and post Samhain, but I don’t wanna… go find them 😭 this is a yap not theory crafting
