BlazBlue: Bloodedge Experience volume covers, By Kyo Kuroichigo
Chapter 11 done. The showdown between Naoto and Raquel vs Spinner Superior. I really canāt take Spinner seriously. Heās like if Roy/Arakune was a fedora wearing neckbeard constantly going āMāladyā at Raquel. Naoto has Black Beast powers or what Iām assuming Black Beast powers just because. A figure with a pair of black arms reach out to him and punch him and now heās able to get shadow limbs. Originally I thought that maybe it was AoO Ragna that was somehow inside him and that would explain that whole āparallel existenceā thing smoother but I donāt think thatās the case now.
Spinner Superior also has a reaction towards Naotoās Drive⦠because. Itās not the first time this happened in the LN as it happened with Kiiro and Raquel in part one iirc. I canāt bring myself to care because it goes nowhere with later material in mind.
Hey, I just wanted to point out that it seems Spinner Superior has a similar (albeit not the same) symbol on his tongue. Think there's a correlation there?
Ooh⦠it is very similarā¦
There might be. God only knows why Mori has this symbol dotted about everywhere. Itād be very interesting to find out.
I'm sure PLENTY of people have already thought of this, and it's not really a question so much as it is your personal opinion. But if Roy is Lao Jiu, then wouldn't it be funny if Arakune was actually the remnants of Spinner Superior? I know that there are obvious similarities, but iirc, didn't he get knocked into the Boundary by Kiro Hikagami never to be seen again? And isn't Hikagami one of the 5 clans under the Amanohokosaka?
Itād be funny but unlikely I feel.
We see Roy turn into Arakune, so the theory floating around now is that Roy was split into two when he fell in the Boundary - Part of him became Arakune, and another part became Lao Jiu. Not only this, but Arakune has memories of Litchi, so it canāt be Spinner.
Hikagami is one of the five clans under Amanohokosaka, but Kiiro isnāt yet confirmed as a member. But lets face it, itās likely she was adopted into it given how this series works.
This is a bit specific, sorry. In the BE2 synopses of the fight with Spinner it says Naoto loses his blood arm while Raquel is fused with Spinner, as well as losing his left arm and right leg. However, when he gets the shadow limbs, it only says he gets a left arm, and his right arm only came back after he pulled Raquel out. Does he use Bloodedge with his left arm or does he create the second arm out of his own blood or the black fog as well?
All his missing limbs are replaced by shadows, and he uses the blood around him to form a scythe to attack Spinner with until he pulls Raquel out of the darkness. He gets his right arm back by doing this, but loses his other limbs until Kiiro saved him. He likely held the scythe with both arms to attack, and I imagine it was something similar to his Astral Heat.
Fact of the day
When Spinner Superior was corrupted by the Boundary, his body turned into something eerily similar to Arakune - an insane black blob with a mask-like face floating on the surface. Not only this, but Spinner was a master of insects, and held an extreme fascination with the Azure. There are many different parallels that can be drawn between the characters in the series.
Assuming the fact of the daty doesn't count Xblaze, wouldn't Spinner Superior be the first death, or is he not confirmed dead since he is just in the Boundary? Also isn't Naoto technically dead?
Ehhhh. Iāve discounted XBlaze for the Fact of the Day and Spinnerās fate was left on aĀ āpresumed deceasedā note instead of being confirmed as outright dead, so I discounted that, too. I didnāt count Naoto since heās between life and death.Of course, if the next BE related media kills off someone, then Tomonori loses his status as the first kill.
Since the Embryo and the Tsukuyomi are still intact at the end of Lost Memories, why could people still access the Boundary (which is what led to the world going to hell)? The only thing I can think of is that it only effected the Gate in Wadatsumi, since apparently the Mitsurugi Agency only discovered other Gates at the end of the game, but it seems odd that Es couldn't learn about other Gates with the power of the Embryo.
In Bloodedge Experience, the Mitsurugi Agency thought it was impossible to access the Boundary and find the Azure, so it seems like that Phantom Field blocked out access via all the gates. That said, Spinner was able to still access the Boundary by creating his own portal to it, and the Agency have started their attempts at accessing the Boundary once more at the end of BE2.Ā I guess the next BE media will reveal if the Agency overcame the Phantom Field or not.
