When someone warns me it’s raining outside but little do they know I’m literally made of rain

The thing I hate more than anything about being a lonely species is that it never goes away, and honestly it only get worse when you’re around others of your kind. I “created”(in quotes bc I didn’t make it up it just comes naturally to me but I did coin the term) spiralbenders bc I always felt like I didn’t fit in anywhere, not even among other alterhumans. I have friends who now identify as spiralbenders since I’ve told them about, and it’s wonderful that they like my world, but I feel like they’re not really one of us? Like how spiralbenders look like elves but they’re actually something completely different, so I feel like humans tend to be drawn towards us.

Spiralbenders are made of earth, we radiate peace, hope, and power, and creatures of all sorts are drawn to us, including humans. I feel closest to others of my species when I see wanderers, which really hurts bc I can’t even tell those wanderers that they’re benders, they have to figure it out on their own.

We are truly a lonely species.
