┖❝ˢᵖᶦʳᵃˡ ᵗʳᵃⁿˢᵐᶦˢˢᶦᵒⁿ❞┚ ★★—flower crown meme: Pink Carnations, Pink Tulips, & Pink Roses for Aya!
What would your muse put into a flower crown for mine?
Pink carnation: Gratitude Pink tulip: Caring Pink rose: Admiration/appreciation
Usually the one to give out flower crowns, or just the one to make them in general, Aya was genuinely surprised when larger hands carefully set a pink flower crown atop her head. Flushing a soft pink, matching both crown and hair, Aya couldn’t help but giggle as she reached up, gentle hands touching soft petals.
Recently, Aya had taken up learning the flower language - if only so she could share her thoughts when her words failed her, halted by her speech impediment or shy nervousness. So when she realized what flowers he had used to compose her new crown, her smile widened. She was unsure if he too was aware of their meaning, but either way it was a thoughtful and kind gift - she knew all too well how long it took to make one little crown.
Viral was sweet, Aya was quickly learning. Sweet and earnest - a lot like her, in that regard. She had already decided she enjoyed his company, but this little action - such a small thing, really - only affirmed that she wanted to spend more time with the man.
“I, um, thank you, Viral. I, um, I love it!” Giggling again, she reached up in a moment of bravery and pressed a gentle, sweet kiss to his cheek.
Later, she’d carefully press the flowers to keep them forever, carefully saved between pages of beautifully bound journals. Today, however, the crown would not leave her head once! All would see the work Viral did as she did her daily duties for the library.
It’s Snowy’s birthday!
@spiral-chronicler asked: HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SNOWY! You are an absolute treasure in mine and Turtle's lives, and we are lucky little shits indeed, to have enjoyed your friendship another year. You were one of the first who interacted with my earliest Viral blog, and in no small way, you've been the pillar and the highlight of my sweetest interactions, here. I'm grateful especially on this day that you were born, and that you choose to share that inner light of yours with others. Here's to another year together!
NIKO YOU’RE GOING TO MAKE ME CRY WITH THIS SWEET MESSAGE?? You are a major reason of why Nia is now a primary muse, you always bring out the best in me and my writing whenever you’re around?? I get SO FRIGGEN happy when I see you in my notes tbh, because I feel like, “yes, Niko is looking~” and I just adore it! I know we don’t talk NEARLY enough but really, half the time I feel like you’re reading my mind??
You and Turtle, you brought me into the fold with open arms and both Nia and I could never be more grateful. You are so sweet and wonderful, both you and Turtle (as I follow every blog they go to) and I can’t imagine my life without you in it.
Thank you for making this year special for me, and I really, REALLY hope there are many more to come of us writing together <3 <3 <3

“I, um, I think we have a copy of that! Just, um, just one moment.” Helping a new patron find a particular book wasn’t anything new for the little librarian. What was new, however, was the fact that she wasn’t wearing a dress but rather an off-shoulder top and skirt instead.
Walking quickly down the aisle, turning her head once to ensure he was following, Aya stopped at a rather tall bookcase. “It, um, it should be just up here.” She gestured to a shelf just out of her reach. Giving a quick look around, Aya frowned with she realized all the step-stools had mysteriously vanished from the aisle.
Well, she could probably reach it if she stretched...
Arms raising high, the short librarian had to shift her weight to her tip-toes as she reached for the book that was just out her grasp. Short sleeves around her shoulder tugged at the rest of the top at the action, the shirt rising up as she focused on her task.
A smattering of glimmering, shining blue-green scales peak out from under her shirt, trailing across her stomach like stars against an expanse of soft skin. They seem to catch the light, drawing looks and gazes as she seems to sparkle from the soft, warm light of the library.
As quickly as the peak of skin appeared, it vanished as Aya let out a triumphant noise and grabbed the book, falling back to the flats of her feet to offer him the prize. “Here, um, here you are! I, um, I hope it helps.”
@spiral-chronicler asked: With assistance from both Avant and a doting new friend to the Chou Dai-Gurren Dan's numbers, the Mother's Day cupcakes were successfully baked and decorated. Garnished with edible blooms in all of their pastel wonder, the petite desserts were every bit a celebration of the sweetness and mirth that Nia brought into the lives around her. They were gently arranged atop a shimmering cellophane-like liner. The Beastman presented them, his expression equal parts proud and bashful. ❝For you, Nia.❞
Her mind had been far too busy with other tasks—harvesting fruits from the gardens she had set up, keeping up her daily work on accumulating and using Spiral Energy while shoving down the Anti-Spiral remnant within her, doing minor chores that she was not shooed away from—to notice that her typical domain had been taken over by Viral, Avant, and a new member of the crew that she had not quite met as of yet.
Normally the kitchen was her task, feeding the entire ship with questionable food that the Spiral Warriors managed to swallow down—as well as enjoy!—was a point of pride for the woman as she had spent years now aboard the Chou Dai-Gurren Dan. It gave her something to focus on while her child had parted from her, and had been the first task she had taken to doing when focusing herself.
Nia could not sink into lethargic depression, and the hungry expression of her husband and friends was enough to lift her into cooking delicious meals. More and more practice for when she would see her child again, to make him something that pierced the heavens with its delicious taste.
But on this day, she had kept herself busy until the last possible second. A thought on cooking dinner, the gifted ornamentation that still rested on her crown to display to the other members of the crew, and elation that a day of remorse had transfigured to that of a marked determination.
After all, how could she mark herself as a good mother if she did not try her best for her child?
@spiral-chronicler asked: ┖❝ˢᵖᶦʳᵃˡ ᵗʳᵃⁿˢᵐᶦˢˢᶦᵒⁿ❞┚ ★★—.emotional starters: ʻyour happiness comes before mine.ʼ
Providing food for the crew was something that elated the woman nearly more than anything. That something cultivated by her hands could nourish and bring joy to those who partook of the meals she crafted. Enough to that even now, although their crew’s numbers far more diminished than when she had been stationed as the Head Chef, she still kept the reigns not only in the arboretum, but in the kitchen as well. It was a task upon her shoulders that drove her further in search of the variety to serve standard on the ship whenever they visited some planet or another for restock and refuel.
Before the last time they had left Earth, Nia had procured very valuable seeds that she had begun to grow in secret from Viral and Simon. Something of a surprise, when the flowers bore crimson fruit, plump, little strawberries itching to be plucked and served immediately once they had grown into their ripeness. Elated, the princess could hardly hold herself back from collecting them and placing them in a small basket before darting off into the ship to find the blonde Beastman.
She didn’t have to travel far, finding the man and presenting him with the small fruit. “Viral!” She sang out, offering them to him. “I grew these and they began to fruit, and I remembered a long time ago that you had wanted some.”
Back in Teppelin, when such things were scarce and he was most likely being ridiculed by Adiane. Not that Nia would associate it. Rather, it was something that she clung to: his desires, his wants.
Yet she would not partake of the fruit, even when an offering might have been made, her insistence of, “they’re to make you happy,” was quickly rebutted with his phrase that made the princess take pause before him.
Her happiness before his.
It was a notion that would have been given easily by a lover to another, or a knight to a princess, the latter of which these two easily fell into place as. He sacrificing his joy, his happiness, all for her, and the cheer began to slide away from her face. Things were different now, no one had to force such a thing upon Viral. No one needed to give up enjoyment for another. Not when they could all relish it, together.
“That’s not true.” Nia began, shaking her head, the cumulous waves of hair shifting with the rapid motion. “That isn’t true, Viral!” Her voice raised a fraction. This was not about the strawberries. Not about the small bit now. No, she had been holding it in ever since he had ushered her on board. Had brought her to a safe place where she could be herself. Viral had given her a home with people who loved her. He sacrificed the safety of his crew, he had given up so much for her father.
Floret eyes welled with salty water, lashes soaking it up as lids closed. “Your happiness is equal to mine. I am not above you. I…We,” the gaze opened to peer upon the man. “We are family, Viral. Your happiness means just as much to me as if it was Simons, or Yokos, or…anyone else. You have done so much for my happiness.” Nia’s lip curled, trying to halt the drips of tears, her fingers trembling against the basket.
“I found the seeds, because I wanted you to be happy. If…” Sucking in a breath, her hand lifted from the basket, wiping away the tears, that sunshine smile beginning to bloom out from the clouded expression. “If you feel so strongly, then my happiness…it will come from you being happy, Viral. Please,” Nia began, regaining her composure.
“Tell me what will help us all be a happy family, Viral.”
