Spiral Avatar Sona!!!
He's actually just a sentient mass of goo pretending to be human but I love him anyway
i wanted a header image thing for this tumblyblog and also wanted to draw my goofy spiralsona............. and these bees
Lunch break, time to think about the origins of spiral avatar. Right now, since I feel like it's tied to media distortion and similar themes, the gut instinct says it all starts with a cassette, found in a tape deck recovered for restoration. The internals are all warped and twisted, but the cassette is in surprisingly good condition. An unlabeled cassette with whorls and spirals covering done in ink. On the cassette is strange, looping music, scratchy and hissing with distortion. An obsession with restoring the cassette, identifying the music, and eventually understanding the messages hidden within the music start the (if you'll forgive the pun) spiraling descent
your local dumbass made itself into the distortion when it should've been writing an essay about machiavelli and martin luther
those guys can go swimming in molten sour patch kids. here's the very picrew of all time https://picrew.me/image_maker/1414503/complete?cd=S5Nikuwo51

Come get y’all TMA Avatar OCs
Okay so! I haven’t gotten around to drawing them all yet because these came to me in about two hours like a inspiration freight train so here’s a rundown of all 7 TMA Avatar OCs I came up with recently. Let me know which ones most interest you & feel free to ask questions about them bc I really love fleshing OCs out!
Here’s Maria and Snail so far:
Buried:
Maria - Originally a member of the Wigan Pit Brow Lasses, she earned her living working as a miner who went missing after a small tunnel collapse in 1867 while in her early 50s. Her weapon of choice is an old, dirt-and-rust caked pickaxe.
Corruption:
A Brazilian entomology student who got lost in amazon and became unhealthily infatuated with another, far more ancient avatar of the Corruption who she happened to stumble upon. She refused to leave this avatar’s side and soon became violently ill with Dengue, a disease passed on by mosquitos that resulted in her suffering with a high fever, awful sickness, among other things.
Hundreds of years old, this avatar aligned with centipedes has mutated far, far beyond their original human self and into an unrecognisable creature of limbs, bone plates and rib-like legs, to say nothing of their mandibles.
A snail mutated by the corruption, it lives in uncanny disguise as a human with a suspicious looking rucksack and raincoat.
Dark:
A woman who, after years volunteering at a charity shop, brought a pitch black shawl delivered in blank shoebox. Upon putting it on, she soon found herself unable to take it off, falling heavily under its influence and losing herself to the dark.
Spiral:
A Dyspraxic Calligrapher working to raise awareness for various conditions lost herself in her work and, after a traumatic experience with the spiral, fell into a terrible paranoia that left her stranded in a whirlwind of chaos from which she never returned.
A creature drawn by the Calligrapher, made entirely of ink strokes. It acts almost as a therapy animal for her though it tends to wander freely. It also acts as a weapon; though it’s 3D in theory, it’s edges are as sharp as a diamond blade knife, and it has a habit of walking or running through things...
