We’re now approaching the new moon in Cancer which is also a solar eclipse & a SUPER moon (so it’s close to earth magnifying it’s effect on us)…& as if that were enough intensity, the planet Mars is closer to Earth than it has been since 2003! So whilst new moon in Cancer may see us wanting to snuggle on the couch with movies & comfort food in response to this intensity, it’s helpful to remember ‘in-tense’ encounters are an opportunity to accelerate our transformation. So long as we stay in the present tense & feel what’s surfacing. The more present we are, the more available we are to take responsibility & process anything that’s being triggered. Today was lovely. I took a midday walk in mildly bright sunshine: I plucked some flowers (with words of appreciation and thanks); tucked rocks in small hidden places. I fell in love all over again today with Mother Earth, moment by moment, held in nature’s embrace.

A day I am grateful for.

Tarot Deck, excited to start this part of my journey.

We’ve dabbled before but I’m very happy to finally be able to consistently practice.

I’ve recently come across a few posts on Reddit that I’ve taken the time to respond to, questions, etc.

As we all know, no questions are dumb and many questions are shared by a few people, but not everyone will necessarily speak up.

For anyone inquiring, as this person is, about a Truth Spell, might find this helpful.

I went into the old grimoire, from a time when I regularly composed spells as I had much more time to devote to my craft.

Spirits Truth Spell & Response •

For me, when I’m looking to gather some deeper knowledge on someone’s intentions/the truth of the matter, I look to give them a push. It’s rather impossible to get someone to simply do something; but far easier to nudge them.

This is a two part process.

I begin with meditation first.

The purpose of the meditation, for me, is to focus and ready my mind to do what is necessary. In this situation, I imagine the person whom I’m working this spell upon, I bring up memories of times they have lied, that I knew for certain of(keep in mind, this imagining and remembering might invoke strong emotions but please, push them away and refocus when you falter). I focus on the memory of the way they sound when they speak. There’s energy in most things, and by doing all this, I’m focusing on non truthfulness.

Before I begin my spell work, I gather the necessary items.

🍃Bay leaf

📉A blue marker or pen (representative of the throat chakra)

🕯 A purple candle (strong for spiritual enlightenment)

💎If you happen to have a lapis lazuli I highly recommend using it

🥀A rose

🌼Passionflower (to promote positive relationships)

🌷Lilac (to banish negative energy.

To Begin.

Protections and cleanse the space.

Cast your circle.

Etch into the candle the word “Truth” from the top of the candle to the bottom. (this helps to pull something towards you). As you do this, focus on what you want truth upon. Imagine them wanting to tell you.

Place passionflower beside your candle.

Write, in blue, the name of the person on the bay leaf.

Light your candle.

Picture the person in your head (if you have a physical

Repeat x3

Lying tongue of thine

Beset upon me truth

Unseal thy lies

I ask of my magic and spirit to right what is wrong tonight

Bring truth to my eyes

Burn the bay leaf.

Express thanks and appreciation for the energies that be for working with you.

Close your circle.

If you happen to have any bay leaf ash after burning (such as, if burning in a bowl) mix it in with the passionflower and scatter on the wind.

For the second part of this, you will need the person in your vicinity. This is only for if you happen to be planning to speak to them in person, etc after your ritual.

Place a rose, and the lilac in an area where you will be speaking with them. Try to be strategic and thoughtful about your placement.

This is done to promote maintenance of energies, such as keeping things more mellow, and calm. Lilac will help to dispel negative energies and Rose generally gives off very loving and healing energy.

Light the candle used in the first half.

Ask questions, no too direct, but pointed. Get them going in the right direction, and let your magic do the work.
