Don't let me make this word up: SPLACES
If I were a horrible tenure-focused eager academic, I would create a new word called SPLACES - a mix between a place and a space. and I would publish crap articles about SPLACES.
Globalization scholars created GLOcAL - mix between local and global. It wouldn't be out of the norm for me to try and become famous with SPLACES.
But I'm writing this post so that no other academic will coin the word SPLACES - cuz you know why? that word SUCKS. I don't ever want to read it in a book about cities. Ever.
