It was when Schneep was performing surgery after his suicide attempt. He technically died twice on the table and Schneep brought him back both times.

He had Foreseen the attack many weeks ago. He had known who, what, and where -- and because his visions rarely ever told him when or why, it was up to him to decide how to react when the time came. By some miracle he had managed to dodge all of their blows -- except one. The nick to his arm couldn’t have been more than five or six inches, but it was enough. His torn sleeve was soaked in red and his hands were going cold.

“The Host...struggles toward the street...” he panted shallowly, weakly cradling his arm against his chest as he staggered, droplets of blood flinging. “Gradually he becomes aware that h-he’s...approaching the main road...” His head lolled forward briefly as his voice dropped to a slurred whisper, inaudible. He will find a car. He will find a car with a driver willing to aid him...He must.

You said that they would mess around with it when Marvin wasn’t looking or it wasn’t finished. Who would most likely do that?

Schneep and Jameson. In general, they’re the most curious members of the household so they have a tendency to stumble upon things and think, “Ooh, interesting!” Schneep’s gotten a lot better about that since he and Marvin had their huge fight about it. Jameson’s still learning not to stick his nose in it.

Does anyone help Chase when he gets headaches like that? Or does he try to hide it the best he can?

Yeah, the others do their best to help his migraines however they can, but sometimes all they can do is be with him while he cries.
