New Splatoon Raiders Analysis
This post is a follow up of my last analysis but now with all the new information from the new Splatoon raiders Direct (SRD) and the Splatoon Raiders Treehouse Gameplay (SRTG). In this post I will go over what I got right, wrong, and any new information or clarifications we got from the two new videos (I recommend that you go read my previous post). Like last time, purple colored text will be my speculations, pink will be my own name for them, and a new one, green will be my own quirky descriptions. Enjoy <3
The Mechanic
Not much new information was revealed but what we did get was more information about stylizing your character. Outfits are unlocked through out the game, probably by unlocking certain items or completing certain requirements (SRTG). Also outfits can be unlocked by scanning Splatoon Amiibos (SRD).
Weapons
A large variety of weapons were showcased with confirmation that "There are over 100 weapons to choose from" (SRD). I was correct in my previous analysis when I said that higher levels indicates higher damage and stars indicate their rarity. As for the extra abilities, or special powers (SRD), they appear on rarer weapons that grant the user special abilities similar to relic powers. Weapons are dropped by all Salmonids not just bosses as seen in the SRD when a Cohock is killed. Weapons will also be able to be upgraded and recycled for shards.
Ink Tanks
I was almost spot on with the naming of the tanks, the only difference in naming was the Tactical Tank in which previously I named it the "Tactic Tank". I was also correct in my assumptions that tanks are used to dictate what Gadgets and Relics we are allowed to use. A new feature that was revealed was the ability to upgrade tanks by using them and collecting power eggs, what upgrading will do is give the player the ability to equip a third Gadget that isn't of the same tank type (SRD).
Gadgets
I strongly believe that there will only be 15 total gadgets with each tank getting 5 (SRD). Here are all the Gadgets we've seen:
Speed Tank
Blast Boot- Leap away or towards danger with a blast
Booyarang- Send out a boomerang that stops mid air to then return
Dash Bomb- Quickly dash away leaving Salmonids in the ink
explosive leap- Gadget only shown in action (SRD) and as a blueprint (SRTG)
grapple shot- Gadget only shown in action (SRD)
Power Tank
Splatchet- Charges a large slash attack that pierces through armor
Splatllite- Creates disks of ink that orbit around the player that ink the floor and damage the enemies hit by the disks
Spinwheel- Locks onto an enemy and spins towards them causing damage
Meteor Mitt- Leap into the air and come crashing down with an explosion
conch blast- Gadget only shown in action (SRD)
Tactical Tank
Shot Pot- Sets down a turret that continuously shoots at enemies
Bombloons- Spawns floating explosives that explode once shot
Tether Wail- Place down a small Killer Wail that aims a the players ink tank
Hi-Fiver- Send out five lines out that bounce and damage Salmonids
turbine lift- Gadget only shown in action (SRD)
Gadget Parts
These are used to customize Gadgets and make them attack slightly different. Parts are dropped by Salmonids heavily shown off on the SRTG and not just by leveling up like I predicted. There's not much I can add to this as I have already gone over the rarity of different parts and how they work in my previous post.
Relic Powers
Relic powers come from collecting relics and can be upgraded by getting relics that go with other relics (SRD). Five Relic Powers can be used at the same time but have to unlock the slots over time.
Map
We still have only seen four types of level symbols but have seen different level types (SRTG).
Giant Cracked Crystal- Collect Power Eggs by killing Salmonids to drill a giant Spirhalite Crystal, there is also red crystals that will power up salmonids around it
Chest- Go through the level collecting Spirhalite deposits and at the end get a big deposit with Boss Salmonid scraps and a chest with a Relic
Tank Specific Chest- Collect power eggs in a time limit to proceed to the next sublevel
Weird Crystal Thing- Still don't know
Lesser Salmonids
The two new Lesser Salmonids are called the Spinook, the flying inking fish that looks like it comes from Side Order, and the Sparky, a robotic land heat seeking bomb. In the Hideout Ship the player has the ability to look at all the things that have collected and killed and in the Salmonid section we get to see descriptions of the salmonids, battle tips, fun facts, and how many Power Eggs and Mega Power Eggs they drop (SRD).
Boss Salmonids
We got shown off one new Boss Salmonid called Smoker, that shoots out fumes that protects other Salmonids, and the name for the flying Salmonid being Salivator, that produces whirlwinds that once shot at can be used by the player. They also showcased the three missing Salmonids from Salmon Run being the Flipper Flopper, Steel Eel, and Maws (SRD).
Seasoned Salmonids
These are upgraded versions of Boss Salmonids that have powered up attacks (SRD and SRTG)
Minced Scrapper- Oversized Scrapper that has a giant roller that does heavy damage
Thick-Cut Salty Tongue- Large Salty Tongue that shoots out a Killer Wail attack
Big-Stack Stinger- Tall Stinger with extra shots and durable pots
Seasoned Steel Head- Larger Steel Head that shoots it's explosive balloon and when it explodes it bounces forward two times
Seasoned Steel Eel- Long Steel Eel with a more aggressive face
Seasoned Big Shot- Large Big Shot that charges its slams by bouncing then unleashes three shock waves back to back
Seasoned Maws- Larger Maws

Online Multiplayer
Multiplayer will be added to the game in the form of Coop as you and 3 other people can play together to clear out levels. With this comes the ability to call for help and respond to help, when responding to help you are given extra reward that are currently unknown (SRD). When Playing multiplayer there is only one Exploration Bot but everyone can use what ever Deep Cut member they want as their Show Stopper (SRTG). The ability to super jump is also in multiplayer and is can be useful after a player dies and the team has moved away. Lives are shared between all player with a max amount of six total lives so use them wisely (SRTG).
This is all the information that I have gathered from the new Splatoon Raiders Direct and Treehouse Gameplay. I hope you enjoyed and see you all soon <3
