WIP of my own take on a merman/shark Wire! ✨️🧡

I'd like to think that he has the ability to grow legs and close up his gills while he's out of water to go both on land and sea. Although overall, he definitely prefers to be in the ocean.

He gets nervous and flustered really easily as well as constantly wanting the approval of the other Splatsville Hierarchy members.

So my thoughts are that in this AU, black labels are seals that Wire creates. They are much stronger than the ones in the manga, sealing not only the users weapon but their ability too.

These seals cannot be removed with hot water, Wire himself is the only person with the ability to remove them. Even though Octo acts like he can remove them. He has no real idea how they work.

Its very rare for Wire to reveal his true form. He will just speak to living inkling and octoling as a disembodied voice while keeping his form hidden. Octo is the only person he's fully appeared before ( Octo still bring a living and breathing normal octoling).

Because of this, the residents of Splatsville have noticed that Octo will sometimes have an odd glow to him and people who have battled him personally have sworn they've seen glowing red eyes behind Octo before theyve been splatted.
