🦑10 years of Splatoon🐙

My Splatoon journey started with the first game - though I wouldn't call myself a veteran, since me and my brother only played occasionally and we missed every splatfest. It's still very nostalgic to me though, the stages and the music especially.

Fast forward a few years, when we finally got a Switch, it was actually my brother who wanted to get Splatoon 2. I wanted New Pokèmon Snap for some reason??? I'm glad I gave in, as it wouldn't have had nearly as big an impact on me. Though my love for Splatoon still didn't quite kick in, since we didn't have switch online... (back in my day, you didn't have to pay for online functionalities!)

It took the Splatoon 3 direct, specifically the reveal of Deep Cut, to entice me. I fell head over heels in love with everything instantly and I haven't looked back. I got Splatoon 3 that Christmas and it's my favourite game of all time - I've sunk hundreds of hours into it, both the single player and the multiplayer, and I pride myself in knowing practically every piece of Splatoon lore, no matter how obscure it is.

I've only been in this fandom for about 2 and a half years, but it has changed my life so much. I've found my creative spark, in both drawing and writing, and it's led me to find some awesome friends @nipotazzi and @tunabunk!!! I'm so grateful that this silly squid game brought us together, both of you are so talented and imaginative. Thank you so much for everything! <3
