Besides Blitz's dad and Samirah, Mallory was the character that came the easiest for me to draw

Now for those of u wondering why I gave her a cleft lip, there's 2 reasons why

1) the pic on the left was the 1st design I saw of her back in 6th grade(in a little poster thing)so that's what I always imagined whenever she popped up in the books. I didn't see the one on the right until years later lol

One thing u need to know about me is that I have atrocious eyesight. (Astigmatism, lazy eye, etc etc) and I didn't get the chance to get diagnosed until I started working so this entire time I really thought she had one😭

2)when I was in 3rd grade there was this girl who came to my school who had a cleft lip. I think she might've been in a year or two higher than me cuz I never saw her in any of my classes. She always looked so miserable and alone every time I saw her. I don't think she ever made any friends :((. She left a few months later.

The image in my head of Mallory Keen I had accidentally created always reminded me of her.

I have glasses now and I know I was wrong about Mallory's design but I don't see any reason not to continue adding a cleft lip to her character. Representation is good. It's necessary. And also I do whatever I want :))

Shout out to you little girl with a cleft lip from school!!! This one is for you!!
