from a lore perspective i honestly really like the double bomb thing you can do with splattershot junior in splatoon. either a bunch of poorer inklings and octolings lacking the funds to purchase a weapon besides the Cheap Plastic Gun For Newbies figured out a way to exploit certain quirks of its design to turn it into a pretty substantial explosive focused threat or if you believe poverty is nonexistent in the splatoon universe some joe shmoe with sentimental attachment to the weapon was ingenious enough to find a way to use the gun gifted by their deceased parent as something more than a paint bot because that's what they would have wanted.
