"Hey, Jinty." The brunette turned to look at him.
"Heya James!" She waved at him, a carefree grin on her face as she jogged over to him. "What's up?" Her gray eyes sparkled.
James rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly, remembering Pug's advice. "I've got something to tell you..." Jinty's eyes widened, and her grin widened.
"Alrighty, shoot!" James quickly gathered his thoughts.
"What do you call a belt made of watches?" He began, and Jinty raised her eyebrows.
"I don't know, what do you call a belt made of watches?" She asked, bouncing on her heels.
"A waist of time." Jinty stared at him for a long moment, and James began to worry.
*"That joke couldn't have possibly been funny, right?"* He thought.*"It was an awful joke. There's just no way she'd laugh at tha-"* Jinty snickered, before bursting into a fit of giggles.
"A...waist of...time!" Her shoulders shook as she laughed. "That's hilarious!" Jinty wiped at her eyes. James tensed as she took his hands in her own, and looked her in the eyes. She was grinning from ear to ear, a sight that made him blush faintly.
"...You liked the joke?" He asked, and Jinty nodded.
"I loved it!" A deep blush colored James' features at her response. "What else did you want to tell me?" James froze at the question, and his mind whirring as he internally panicked.
"...I like you!" Jinty stared at him, a crimson blush blooming across her face as James turned and fled.
