Well, really he hadn’t been expecting to be distracted from his trip. He was going to be going on a hunt later on that day and he wanted to prepared.

Well-stocked even!

He had plenty to spend just because of his dear Winny’s insistence but he was planning on spending as little as he could oh the items he was well-acquainted with.

So when he’d heard a familiar voice his brain wracked for possible answers of people it could belong to! Mostly people he hadn’t seen in so long. Old friends, old acquaintances

Who he wasn’t expecting was Innsmouth!

“Ah we meet again!” He placed back the item he was looking over with a hand of dismissal before heading over to the man. Excitement palpable!

“It’s been so long we really should have a chat!.. Last I heard you were a Professor are you still one? Oh well, doesn’t matter we can chat over drinks for it!”

“Indeed.” The Mad Professor responded, with reptilian eyes and an unwavering Cheshire smile “And it is my hope that we may keep this matter civil. Granted, any mortal or otherwise physical conflict would merely be a drop in the proverbial bucket in a world as violent as ours, but I just cleaned this improvised bio-laboratory and I’d rather prefer it be kept as such.”

The professor sat across from Tyreen, briefly dusting off the shoulder of his tattered DAHL labcoat. “You see, Miss. Calypso; Tyreen, if I may…For a good number of years, I have been putting everything on the line to achieve my goal: To create a biological formula that shal evolve humanity to godhood. A project that, to this day, I am still working on. So, imagine my reaction to the news that an echonet personality is not only claiming themselves a deity, but amassing a literal cult following, as well.”

“Right.” Tyreen was trying to figure out what about this could benefit her. After all, gods were special for a reason - because there were so few of them, because they rose above the masses. She supposed it depended on one’s definition of godhood and what this ‘formula’ was meant to do.

“Cool story, bro. Aaaand what do you want from me about it? This formula just sounds like competition to me.”

It wasn’t often Hyperion had competition worth keeping alive. Workplace “accidents” and carefully placed explosives were more commonplace, more easy. Dahl had never been a large concern either, not in the beginning, at least. But this, this was big. So big that she was instructed to interfere. 

Gathering information on the man was easy, University documents and Dahl employment records suspiciously convent to locate and browse, leaving her with extra time to look through intriguing research papers and promising dissertations. The man already rang clear as a promising asset to any company, especially one who wanted to exploit his findings for personal gain. She supposed Dahl and Hyperion had that trait in common. 

Patching into the closest system to the scientist, displayed all across the screens, Angel opened up an Echoline, broadcasting her A.I image. 

“ Hello, Professor. I have an offer for you. ”

Nisha may or may not have had a bit to drink when she decided it would be a great idea to send topless photos of herself, to who she thought was her boyfriend. Along with a photo, the poor professor had to deal with her texts as well.

The back of her head was causing pure pain, sending waves of around her whole skull. She could tell it was more than a hangover induced headache. Her guess was she was hit by something when her back was turned. Cowardly move in her opinion.

Slowly, she rose her head up, hissing as her head throbbed in protest. She didn’t dare try opening her eyes. Not sure it would aid the pain. At least, that was the plan. Her eyes snapped open the moment she realized she couldn’t raise her hands.

Quickly, her gaze went to her arm’s, eyes widening when she noticed the fact her hands were bound to a chair. “What the fuck?!” Quickly, she started looking around, trying to find whoever was responsible for her restrained state. “If this is some joke, you’re messing with the wrong chick!”

"Trespassing?" the odd looking professor responded in confusion, a sword's blade to his neck "I assure you, my only intention is to talk with Mr. Strongfork."

To so brazenly walk into Atlas - to have the nerve to treat the campus like he'd always been there.

The sword to the professor's neck was immediate. The declaration of his crime just as easy. And then the calm response is left like a bomb on Zer0's doorstep. Intriguing, but still not appreciated.
