Love this covered berry basket! It looks to be ash (?) (and a bit dusty). It's more of a golden color turned gray. You can see the blueberry stains on the bottom of the basket. Native American? Beautifully woven. Excellent condition. A man walks into a store looking for...well, anything. He walks out with a pair of early 19th century brass candlesticks and a sweet splint basket. Although it should be illegal, it's currently legal to buy at these prices in Iowa. Basket is 12" Tall. Upper diameter of 12". Bottom diameter is 7". Nice push up bottom. Candlesticks are 8.5" Tall.
