Lemaitre - Splitting Colors (Rootkit Bootleg)
Lemaitre’s Splitting Colors is without a doubt a personal favorite from the beloved Norwegian electronic duo. Youthful and spry disco electro imbibes the 2012 classic, which feels like it harkens from a different time, when French house ruled the world. A mysterious project named Animal HÖuse alights on our radar with a brilliant modern take on the single, transforming it into a dazzling extravaganza that literally oscillates between fleecy wafting future funk and tense quivering dirty trap/dubstep. Yes, this remix has been out and about for awhile, but there’s no way we were going to pass up on sharing the jam now we know it exists. Download the banger for free, here.

Day 127:
Club mixes. Now, I don't usually spend my time at a club, so I couldn't really emulate how awesome could feel when you're in one, but outside a club it's still a very good mix. One of the better mixes on Relativity By Nite, Splitting Colors still keeps the charming children's choir whilst laying down a strong bass-sounding techno blast out of the cannon on the choirs' back. The beginning of the song unfortunately is very boring, but it slowly builds up tension for that first drop, which by the way sounds awesome. The pitch change at the end is a weird choice to make, but it still works I guess and it sounds pretty cool when all the voices slowly start rising up. The ending is very calm surprisingly, and it somehow works very well. Overall, this song is slow to start, but has some very good sounding techno bass and it's a nice mix overall.
Na na na na na. Na na na na na.
