3. Did they have a good childhood? What are fond memories they have of it? What’s a bad memory?
I mean, it wasn’t real exciting, but it wasn’t a traumatic childhood or anything. He grew up in an area that was very open and hilly. He liked to pick wildflowers in the spring when he was little. As for bad memories, he can’t recall any. To be fair, his memory isn’t too great, though.
4. What is their relationship with their parents? What’s a good and bad memory with them? Did they know both parents?
He lived with his mother. He never really knew his father, and has no idea what even happened to the guy, since his mother never even acknowledged this hypothetical father’s existence. He did love his mother and enjoyed how she told him stories about when she was young. When he was older he moved far away from where he grew up. Him and his mother mostly communicated through letters despite the technology that was available. It just felt more personal to him. The day the letters stopped altogether doesn’t really stand out in his mind, but looking back he insists he should’ve known that something was wrong. He should’ve known something happened. He should’ve known she had been sick.
7. Did they have lots of friends as a child? Did they keep any of their childhood friends into adulthood?
His mother was a bit overprotective of him, and so he didn’t really have a whole lot of friends other than the neighborhood kids. He did make friends at school, but over the years they ended up moving away and he lost contact with them.
