SPN 12.09
After Cas's cryptic call to Mary (it's sad in a funny way how deeply uncomfortable they both are here), we jump to this very serious debriefing
For all that Mick says he's a strategist, his method for getting hunters on board is awful, could hardly be worse in fact. They know hunters are not organized, they know a lot of them are loners, and his pitch is 'we'll give you resources but in return you'll do as you're told'?
Mary: If they needed help, why didn't they call me? Cas: You were out.
Aw, Cas gets them.
Meanwhile Sam and Dean will be leaving different reviews on Yelp:
Cas [to Crowley, with his most pitiful look]: Do you even care that they're gone?
But Crowley's like, they're like herpes, they'll be back *pat pat*
Now, listen to how soft Cas's voice gets when he answers Dean's call:
Cas: We might want backup. Crowley, Rowena
!!! Dream team!
We should've had a scene where Mary witnessed Rowena and Sam doing their thing. She probably would've looked like she did when Dean and Cas hugged earlier in the season.
The reunion:
When Sam says 'it's time', Dean looks at Cas like this (crucially it's Dean who moves first. Cas turns when Dean is already looking at him, and Dean can only hold eye contact for a bit before looking away):
Finally we get to Cas doing hot girl stuff at the end of the episode:
He couldn't solve that case he worked alone, buuuuut killing an angel-type being when that will have cosmic consequences? that is certainly on his wheelhouse!
Dean's 'wtf? stance' kills me:
He's saying "let you sacrifice yourselves. You mean too much to me. To everything" here. Notice that he cannot bring himself to look at Dean (remember he's on the right) when he says the middle bit. He goes back for the last part.
