You know who I really feel sorry for in this episode? The people in these pictures. Brian's actions in Bitten have snow-balled into so many ruined lives. He went to the werewolf because he didn't want to be Piggy from "Lord of the Flies" any more. He wanted to be Ralph. He wanted to be Michael. He wanted Kate to love him and see things the way he saw them. He didn't think he was good enough the way he was.
"Barker always knew when his clock ran out it wasn't gonna be pretty. But, to go out like that, like some animal. It just ain't right" - Tommy
Tommy's friend, Barker, was brutally slaughtered right outside the door from him and no one will listen to what he has to say because he's known as being "unreliable". He even tried to go back and help the girl Barker was last seen with after he saw her standing bloody on the side of the road, but she was just gone. Now he's wandering around thinking he's seen a ghost, and mourning his friend alone.
"I walked away. Never called, never wrote. Just started a new life." - Kate
Kate and Tasha's parents have no idea what happened to their eldest daughter. Maybe she told them she was seeing Michael before everything went to Hell and they know about him and his room mate being found in bloody heaps on the floor. Surely the police told them about Kate's pictures scattered about Michael's and Brian's shared house. But there's been no sign of Kate. And now their younger daughter disappears from her hospital bed. Presumably her body will be found near two more bloody bodies in their old cabin. No explanation of how she got there or who would have done such a thing. And still no sign of Kate.
"I was adrift, lost, not really sure where to go or what to do." - Kate
There seems to be a lot of that going around.
