As I had achieved both NYAA Bronze and Silver in 2010 and 2011 respectively under the guidance of my secondary school student council teacher-in-charge, Mr. Lee Han Hwa, hence I told myself why not continue and strive to attain the highest level – NYAA Gold Award, when I saw SP NYAA Ambassador Club (SPNAC) booth during the CCA Carnival 2012, where they introduced the club as a common platform for the SP NYAA participants to know each other and complete the NYAA (Gold) sections together. They will also help to source out for programmes and guide us to complete the 5 sections of NYAA (Gold). With that thought in mind, I joined the CCA and began my NYAA Gold Award journey.
Through this CCA, I have met a lot of really nice people and forged great friendship bonds along the way, which some even became my closest friends in poly. Unlike my other CCAs, SPNAC is the only CCA where I had participated in almost all its club events and activities, from its very first event - Bonding Day 2012 (where it all begins) till now. I really like the people in the club and was very much inspired by the seniors to be like them and do my very best to serve the club and school.
Background of SPNAC
Set up in 2012, SP NYAA Ambassador Club (SPNAC) aims to encourage students to uptake the NYAA Gold programme, as well as facilitating and guiding NYAA participants to complete their 5 different sections in NYAA.
Our role is to:
Be an ambassador of NYAA (Gold) to SP students
Facilitate and guide NYAA participants in completing the different sections of NYAA
Form a fun and comfortable community for all NYAA participants to come together
