Because I really want Zeke to be a good guy

(for secondary characters everywhere, please, for the love of Chuck, let Zeke be a good guy, give me this one thing)

I'm going to point a couple of things out, because Zeke asking Dean to ask Cas to leave does make a fuck-ton of sense FROM ZEKE'S PERSPECTIVE - even if it's killing me and I'm crying about it (because Cas, fucking come on why).

Zeke's injured.  In a not-him-specific vessel.  And we all know how that eventually goes to shit - even if it's a powerful vessel.  Everyone remember that chick that popped earlier in the episode?  Because that's what tends to happen!  Everyone remember Nick, and Hael?  Sure, they held up just fine for a while, but angels need a them-specific vessel, there's only so much they can do with a different one.

It's taking a ton out of Zeke to heal Sam, and himself, at the same time!  This is so obvious when he heals Cas, it's obvious Zeke is the one that gets up off the floor, and he's staggers a little and it's lights out instantly after using the bit of Grace that he does.  Dude's not firing on all cylinders just yet, he was pretty rough when he went to Dean in the first place - so why the hell would he be okay with potentially bringing the entire Heavenly Host down on his head when all his strength and attention is focused elsewhere, when he's running on fumes??  He agreed to heal Sam - he helped Dean find Cas - but the man can't fucking do everything all at once, give him a fucking break.

Also "injured in the fall" DOES NOT MEAN THAT HIS VESSEL WAS INJURED AND HE NEEDED A NEW ONE / that he used it as an excuse to jump into a more powerful vessel (angels need them-specific-vessels to function properly I swear to god, and if it were Lucifer why the flipping fuck would he dick around after getting the lease signed, huh?  What other motive could Zeke possibly have other than 'good fucking intentions', because if he was working with anyone else, he could have fucking rolled over on the Winchesters as soon as he had Sam and he didn't, I don't see any dark intent here).  Everyone noticed Zeke's delicious-sounding vessel was fine and fucking dandy when Zeke left him on the hospital bed, yes/yes?? YES. SO THANK YOU. Angels have no trouble keeping their vessels up, even post-fall - so it's obvious, isn't it, that the injury is to his "true form" instead, which is probably why it's taking so long to shake it off.  It was hard for Cas to shake off that Angel-Blade bullet in his belly, wasn't it?  IMAGINE FALLING FROM ANOTHER DIMENSIONAL PLANE.

And can I just point out, too, that he's literally (literally) surrounded by Winchesters and EVERYONE AND THEIR FUCKING ESTRANGED UNCLE knows how that usually ends for people who are not, themselves, Winchesters.  He's probably hugging self-preservation like it's a fucking lifeline, chanting the fucking mantra - put Zeke first because no one else is going to.  He's alone, injured, out numbered.  He has a dramatically unpopular opinion compared to his brothers and sisters, so of course he's going to be on their shit-list and of course he's going to be fucking worried about it.

You can believe in someone and their ideals and not trust them 100-and-50 percent, alright.

Putting yourself first doesn't make you a bag of dicks it makes you smarter than a Winchester.

So fuck you very much for hating Zeke just because he's cock-blocking Destiel, you whiny little shits.  I'm going to stay optimistic.
