In honor of Supernatural ending tonight I offer to you my peak Supernatural experience, which is perhaps even the crowning achievement of my entire life and the highest point I may ever hope to achieve:
Sometime around the end of the summer of 2019, I found out Supernatural was coming upon season 15, the Final final season! (Not like season 7 when it was supposedly cancelled but wasn’t, this time it was ending ending.)
So I was like, hey you know what… watching(binging) Game of Thrones and then being able to experience the final season in real time was a fun experience, let’s do that with Supernatural. Let’s have a genuine send off for it. It’ll be fun!
Now, you should know… at this point the last episode I really remember watching was the Chicago supernatural family gang episode. I had watched through high school (I think)(definitely watched reruns every day before school on TNT, at least) but I kinda stopped once I got to college. So basically I was only partway through season 8 at this point in the month of september of the year 2019.
I thought I had plenty of time to catch up, as I figured the new season would begin February of 2020 - hell, maybe even March!
Plenty of time!
So much time
Not . A . Problem!
And then
Around the middle of September, I found out Season 15 would begin on October 10th.
Of 2019.
So what did I do, on the 17th of September, 2019?
21 days until the start of a new season and 135 episodes, unwatched - what did I do? - sorry, did you read that? TWENTY ONE DAYS and ONE HUNDRED AND THIRTY FIVE episodes to watch.
Well, I made a schedule of 7 episodes a day.
And you know what I did?
I watched seven gotdamn Supernatural episodes every day for three weeks straight.
Give or take three or four days where I cut/added an episode.
And would I do it again? ... ........ Mayyyy-YEs. Yeah, I probably would.
