    Sometimes, he thinks dying would be nice. And not regenerating - he’s had enough of that - but actual, honest to god, dying. He can die, and though he knows he’s got hundreds of planets and thousands of people to save, he can’t help but wish he could just stop.

    Sometimes, it gets boring. Of course, he’s encountering new people everyday and seeing new places and feeling new things, and, of course, he knows he shouldn’t be taking the opportunity to be a hero for granted, but it’s the always the same.

    Wake up.

    Fly somewhere.

    Save things.

    The only variable in his life are his companions, but sometimes he wishes even they would cease to exist, because they all leave him in the end anyway.

    Without him, he knows, thousands would be dead, planets would be blown to pieces, and time and history would be quite different. Without him, the universe would be different.

    But maybe different wouldn’t be such a bad thing.
