A trifle parfait is always a beautiful dessert table centerpiece. A tasty and pretty dessert is made with layers of sponge cake, vanilla pudding, fresh berries, and a hint of raspberry jam.
Ingredients: 1 package 3.4 oz instant vanilla pudding mix. 2 cups cold milk. 1 cup heavy cream. 1/4 cup powdered sugar. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. 1 sponge cake, cut into cubes. 1 cup fresh berries strawberries, blueberries, raspberries. 1/2 cup raspberry jam. 1/4 cup slivered almonds, toasted. Whipped cream for topping.
Instructions: In a bowl, whisk together instant vanilla pudding mix and cold milk until thickened. Refrigerate for 15 minutes. In a separate bowl, whip heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form. Gently fold the whipped cream into the chilled vanilla pudding mixture until well combined. In serving glasses or a trifle dish, layer sponge cake cubes, vanilla pudding mixture, fresh berries, and a drizzle of raspberry jam. Repeat the layers. Finish with a dollop of whipped cream on top and sprinkle with toasted slivered almonds. Chill the trifle parfaits in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving. Garnish with additional berries and mint leaves if desired. Serve and enjoy!
