I lied - there is one overlook view out this way that is better than Pen Mar: High Rock. Made it in time for sunset.

Having completed two client meetings and my remaining errand obligation for the day, it occurs to me that I have my bike and gear in the back of my car, and half a tank of gas. The only remaining question is: what direction?

So after Raven Rock I decided to go somewhere a little more civilian friendly. Pen Mar’s only about eight miles away.

The overlook can’t be beat (for this area, at least), though it was quite hazy today.
