'Sup, y'all. Same blog, new URL.

I do game things, queer things, art things, and fic things. I make props and costumes. Expect plenty of Fallout, complaints about practicing law, and ADHD adventures. Edakumi on AO3, and @twosides--samecoin's wife (she does cool fic things, go read her stuff).

I do a lot of driving through IRL locations that have made it into the Fallout franchise, so I post about it.

I also sometimes post answers to asks/commentary (including observations about black letter law, ethics, the lawyer’s work, humorous fuckaround/findout conduct - example: There is No Anon at the Arraignment - and similar) under the tag eda speaks.

Gotta tell you guys something wild in the Chinese fan sphere

So some fanartist drew a “sexy” (read: booby) version of a (cartoon) character who is traditionally very non-sexualised. Fans of the character got mad about it because it’s kind of groundbreaking how that character is written and portrayed and this art totally ignores the entire point of the character. They demanded the art be deleted. In response to that other people said, well what the fanartist did may be distasteful but they have every right to draw what they’re into. The two sides fight for days and each starts a harassment campaign and even report their “opponents’” accounts.

So far so typical. But things eventually come to a head and they decide that this will be settled by votes - not through a poll. Through donations to a children’s education charity via each side’s portal. Whoever can get the highest amount of donation wins.

And that is how this charity received over 1 million in donations in three days lol. Oh btw the “freedom of expression” side won by a landslide (960k to 40k)

While the crab-eating fox’s (Cerdocyon thous) name implies that crabs make up most of its diet, this canid is omnivorous and has a wide-ranging menu that changes with the seasons. It lives in parts of eastern and northern South America, where it’s found in forests, savannas, shrubland, and wetlands. During the dry season, it may snack more on insects; during the wet season, it favors crustaceans.

[fallout spice of life] NCR trooper having Christmas meal back home in New Cali. The tiny mess room was decorated in style. A green wreath hung at one end as a Christmas tree. The tables were loaded with food, they have fried chicken (poultry raised under NCR 'Food for Defense' program) hardtacks, pea soup, mash potatoes, cream chipped gecko on toast. The hardtack were soggy and moldy usually because of bad storage and ones infested with maggots, and weevils, but they didn’t mind that. That one night officers and troopers had their mess together. It was rather close quarters. They had a crew of four officers and thirty-two troopers, it was no dress affair. No beef and wine as you call them. In short, there were many drawbacks, but low morale were not one of them. In the tight, overcrowded little mess room they ate and talked. The meal was washed down with potato coffee mixed with rum, and they lost count of the number of toasts that were drunk.

can't believe it’s been 11 years since I created Sue Galloway. He started as a PayDay 2 concept character named Coyote, made his way into FO4 as a BOS soldier then a ghoul wastelander, then finally found his main role as Courier 6 in New Vegas. He’s not a 'main character' anymore—he just blends into the background now. Still, it’s fun to draw him now and then to see how much my art has changed since 2017.

Thanks to @maccreadyweek, a lot more maccready art exists in the world now which can truly only be a net positive!! I love seeing this guy in situations and I love when other people do too.
